Scotch Hall Preserve is perched on a bluff right across the Albemarle Sound in Merry Hill, NC, a short 20 minutes away from one of the nation’s prettiest small towns – Edenton, NC. Since our inception, Scotch Hall has blossomed into a perfect location for gatherings to celebrate an event or occasion, corporate retreats on our Arnold Palmer Signature Golf Course, or a space to create the perfect intimate wedding to celebrate with family and friends. Your guests can enjoy true Carolina Living as well with our overnight accommodations for up to 30 guests on site. Here at Scotch Hall, you are always treated like family when you come visit.
Want your next annual meeting or holiday party to stand out? This intimate space plus outdoor options makes customizing your event easy. The Breezeway area of the Soundside Beachclub overlooks the Albemarle sound and can expand onto our spacious lawn and pool area to accommodate a larger event.

The Boardroom at The Shed
The Boardroom at The Shed Bar & Eatery located on Scotch Hall Preserve grounds is our smallest, yet most entertaining venue, perfect for executive meetings, board gatherings, corporate retreats and holiday parties.

The Pavilion & Lawn at The Shed
The Pavilion & Lawn at The Shed Bar & Eatery located on Scotch Hall grounds is perfect for entertaining larger events of 75 or more guests. Be prepared to cut loose and have fun with a huge corporate party, wedding reception or special celebration. This large outdoor gathering space connects with our indoor dining area of The Shed.

We invite you to experience the charm and elegance of the Scotch Hall’s Albemarle Sound with our Forever Wedding Package. The Soundside Breezeway and Lawn, along with the pool area, make overlooking the Albemarle Sound a perfect destination to say, “I do”. It’s a perfect location for an intimate gathering and exquisite wedding. The Soundside Beachclub and grounds are yours to fill with guests and loved ones to create an unforgettable occasion. Package includes:
Venue: Soundside Breezeway + Lawn and Pool Area Overlooking the Albemarle Sound
Bridal Area: Bride and bridesmaids can relax and enjoy getting ready for the big event in our spacious and inviting accommodations at the Capehart & Inn. Accommodates up to 12 guests. Includes 2 nights of stay.
Groom Area: The Groom and his friends can sit back, play a few rounds of golf, and enjoy getting ready for the big event in our Scotch Hall Villas. Accommodates up to 16 guests. Includes 2 nights of stay.
Includes event space for rehearsal dinner the day before the wedding.
Includes Gold event package and $1500 credit toward food/beverage for event.

"The Palmer" Executive Retreat Day Package
Hosting a corporate event at Scotch Hall provides an extraordinary opportunity to bring your team together, challenging them in an environment of fresh air, big sky, and peacefulness. Your energies will soar, and your creativity will flourish in this unique setting. A typical day package would include the following:
Arrive onsite @ Scotch Hall @ 8AM w/ coffee / juice and breakfast sandwiches available for you @ The Shed Board Room
Meeting Time for your group from 8:30-12:30 in The Board Room, with snacks and drinks available
Lunch @ The Shed @12:30
18 holes of golf for each person, starting @ 1:30 w/ unlimited bottled water & free Range Balls
$125/person with a minimum of 10 people
** Add on overnight accommodations @ The Scotch Hall Inn for $100/person or The Villa (shared rooms) for $75/person

Q & A w/ Scotch Hall:
For any of our venues or packages, please give Chris a call @ 252-482-4006 or email her at email@example.com. A $500 deposit is due at contract signing (except for weddings, at which a 50% deposit is due).
Events: A $500 deposit is due at the time of the contract signing. If you cancel prior to 60 days of the event, you will receive 50% of your deposit back. If you decide to move the date of the event prior to 60 days, there is no fee. Within 60 days of the event, the monies are non-refundable.
Wedding Packages: For wedding packages, if you cancel prior to 60 days, you will be charged a $500 processing fee and the remainder of the monies will be refunded. If you decide to move the date (depending on availability), you will be charged a $250 processing fee. Within 60 days of event, the monies are non-refundable.
All of our venues include a minimum spend with our Scotch Hall catering, thus we recommend you use Scotch Hall for your catering needs. For event or party rentals, we have an agreement with Classic Party Rentals out of Ahoskie and additional rental fees are due 60 days prior to the event.
Scotch Hall will clean the space before and after the event, including the bathrooms. We will also set up/take down tables and chairs as needed. All other clean up responsibilities, including removing décor and accessories, are the responsibility of the rental party.
Scotch Hall holds a North Carolina Beer/Wine/Liquor license and therefore NO outside alcohol is permitted. Please talk with the event coordinator if you’d like alcohol at your event.
Yes, however all candles must be contained in votives that extend at least one inch above the flame. Open flames are NOT allowed.
No smoking is allowed inside any building. However, smoking is allowed outside.
